Anna Becker

I began my fitness journey in 2012, deciding to obtain my personal trainer certification, with the intent of learning all I could about the body and attempting to rehab injuries I had sustained in a car accident in 2010, and was still dealing with. I had an interest in CrossFit since first getting involved with fitness, but because there was not a local box, had not had the opportunity to try it. That changed in August of 2013 when a friend of mine told me he had done some work on a space that was being leased for a soon-to-open CrossFit Gym. I stopped by, introduced myself to the owner, and told him I was going to be his first coach. I did my first CrossFit workout a week later, the day the gym opened, and have been hooked ever since. I obtained my Level 1 in November of 2013 and made Coaching and individual training my full time job. I was amazed by the results I personally experienced, not only in my fitness level, but the pain and effects of my injuries from almost three years prior were decreasing by the day. I found my niche in training “seasoned” athletes and working with people post-rehab to help them regain functionality and eventually their fitness. My favorite part of coaching is seeing how it transforms the quality of peoples lives outside the gym -the grandmother that can now keep up with her grandkids, the guy that is no longer kept awake at night with back pain, or the insecure teenage girl who has overcome eating disorders and found confidence..those are all real transformations I’ve had the privilege of having a small part of, and those are the reasons I LOVE CrossFit!
